Bridge Facilities Safety – Beijing Metro Line 13

Bridge Facilities Safety – Beijing Metro Line 13

Multi-subsystem safety monitoring of bridges on Beijing's first elevated metro line.

Beijing Metro Line 13 is the city's first elevated line, with a total length of 40.5 km and 12,508 m of bridges. Having been in operation since 2002, distress has been identified in civil infrastructure, particularly bridges, during routine maintenance, posing risks to safe line operation. To improve scientific safeguards, bridges with representative distress were selected for safety monitoring to verify the system's scientific validity, reliability and stability, laying the foundation for wider future deployment.
