Automated slope stability monitoring of an open-pit coal mine and spoil dumps.

Shunxing Coal Mine is located in the Baorixile mining area of Inner Mongolia, within Hailar District, Hulunbuir City. Trimble total stations (measurement robots) were deployed to automatically monitor the pit's spoil dumps, the north and south end walls of the working bench, and the slope faces of each end wall over a three-year period in support of safe and rapid mining.
